I don't know about you but I hate waiting, for anything. My patience run thin and I get annoyed fast.
Often in life we are told to wait. We have to wait for our food when were hungry. We have to wait in line when we have somewhere to be. We even have to wait for the important things; like payday, date night, seeing family members, and receiving good news. However, Passionately and Faithfully, what are the hardest things to “wait” for? In my opinion; answered prayers, soulmates, or even waiting for the storms of life to calm down.
I can except a yes or no response, but a “wait” is by far the heaviest weight for me to carry. I ask for patience a lot, yet never receive them, only obstacles and irritation that forces me to be patient.
The Bible tells us in,
Isaiah 40:31 ESV
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
So in this how do we refrain from wasting the wait?
Three steps I give to you.
Find your faith
Find your purpose
Find your yourself
In finding your faith, ask yourself these question:
Where does your relationship with God stand?
What aspects of your life do you see him in?
Are you fighting what he’s trying to do in and through your life?
Answer these question in vulnerability, and allow yourself to tell the truth.
To find your purpose, what does that mean?
well it means filling in the blanks, it means searching for whats sets your soul on fire.
Where do you find your most passionate measured moments?
Where do you find peaceful Accountability in gloomy moments?
Finding your purpose does not always mean a career path.
It is your purpose and/or label in every-room. What are you known for?
The Bible tells us that’s our mission is to be fishers of men, meaning bringing others to Christ.
your purpose is how you go about that. What talents allow you to pursue that mission.
With finding your faith and your purpose, you will find yourself. Use the time your waiting, to grow and establish new goals and dreams. Allow yourself to complete your own joy.
Wasting the wait is so easy to do when you’ve completed yourself with that someone or something. You’ve let it consume your mentality. Let the wait bring new things to the table for you to offer.
God is working in your favor
